A Little About Me:

I am legally blind due to optic atrophy. I also have dystonia which causes tightness and pain in my legs. Both of these conditions make being physically active challenging for me. I will be graduating in June of this year and pursuing a post-secondary education in Early Childhood Development.

My Challenge:

For my challenge, I will be doing 20-30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days. I will post a photo post-activity each day. My 20-30 minutes a day will vary. I will hike, cross country ski, walk or swim (if I’m near a pool).

This Challenge Is Important To Me Because:

This is important to me because I’d like to show people that individuals with disabilities are just as capable as everyone else.

I haven't been exercising 20-30 minutes a day for just over a week.


I have been sick with one form of the cold that is going around and haven't been able to exercise without coughing like crazy after a few minutes. I managed to go for about a 20 minute walk this afternoon though, and only coughed a few times.


Tomorrow, my trip to New York City is only a week away!!!! I am getting SUPER excited to visit "The Big Apple," and even more excited to visit all the tourist attractions & must-see-things-in-New York.

BC WINTER GAMES 2016


Thursday Feb. 25th

Skied 4 km in

Was skiing the course for Friday’s 5 km race.


Friday Feb. 26th

Skied a 1 km warm up in 20 minutes. Also skied a 5 km race in 61 minutes.

Was skiing the course for Friday’s 5 km race.


Friday Feb. 26th

Skied a 1 km warm up in 20 minutes. Also skied a 5 km race in 61 minutes.


Saturday Feb. 27th

Skied the 400 meter course for a warm up and then raced on it. Race time was less than 5 minutes.

Skied a 4 km loop with my family and friends who came to cheer me on.
